State Representative Joe Miller, a Lorain County native, graduated from Marion L. Steele High School and earned degrees in education and history from Bowling Green State University and Ashland University. His varied career spans teaching, coaching, planning, and management, providing him with a broad perspective on Ohio's business challenges. After 9/11, he returned to education, teaching at high school and college levels, and remains an active community volunteer. Joe, who lives in Amherst with his family, advocates for quality education, job creation, renewable energy, and veterans' support. He has championed equitable school funding, economic revitalization, green energy, veterans' honors, local control in schools, and has been a strong voice against the opioid crisis and for women's rights. Joe envisions Ohio as a leader in innovation, job creation, and sustainability.
